    Interesting.

Some people have said that they used straws to get the same effect. I tried it, and it was absolutely horrible. Uncomfortable, and I couldn't help drooling all over the place.

I've used a face mask (for dust) often. That works pretty well.

The theory behind it makes sense. I'll try it.

Nothing new. Concept has been around for a while. Bas is probably paying a royalty for the patent. Or will get sued for infringement.

Unlike Bas's, you can dial-in your adjustments on this one instead of having 20 different levels or whatever his does.

Difference is, the Expand-a-Lung is supposed to be used before not during your workouts.

for a doctor, there's a whole lot of misinformation in that article when it comes to CO2, O2, and hypercapnea.

And it's nothing more than one more subjective opinion.

I don't actually have one, but I would rather pay the $80 for this because it is new and some other dude hasn't worn it, also it has 3 interchangeable intakes.

    OTM, of course
You realize you can buy a brand new one for 20 bucks on ebay, and then go to lowes or home depot and buy intakes just like those for 10 bucks and you can drill your own holes to better suit your needs.

By limiting the amount of O2 inspiration it would simply make the exercise more anaerobic. So why not just not be lazy and lift the intensity of your work out?

Its a 50 dollar piece of plastic that strengthens your lungs? Your lungs aren't even a muscle though. You lungs are an organ. I don't understand. If I drink a lot of alcohol does that make my kidneys stronger because they are getting a harder work out? Yeah, didn't think so.

I'm not buying this piece of crap.

    Muscles are organs. http://www.merriam-webster.com/medical/muscle

This just strengthens your intercostal muscles and diaphragm, while causing general hypoxia. This will not simulate elevation training...these toys will not reduce partial pressures.
