And now they're back again in full force, thanks sherdog!

Knock wood, but my phone has been free of them for a while.

i wish more people would see these threads before they get banished. this shit is about to make me go back to the underground which i REALLY dont want to have to do.

and now these posts await 'moderator approval'. really? the 'completely taking over your phone browser ads' are that important? wow

how to stop this?
the last time this got this bad people suggested using firefox with an adblocker but all my shit is saved in chrome. its ridiculous we even have to do that just because sherdog absolutely refuses to do anything about this. its not even popups anymore, its straight up browser hijacks.

Try to screen shot which pop ups are doing this and post them here if you can.. Then @Lethal

i have never gotten a popup or ad on sherdog in 20 years. do you have adblock

Getting the same "walmart" card redirect with my tablet.

They need to clean up this sight.

I can understand it taking a day or two to hunt it down but this has been going on for a while now.

And I don't mind the adds that appear on the site and will even click them now and then to help support the site but the redirect is making it impossible to stay on the site and enjoy it.

Which is going to hurt the site and the real advertising.

Just got the same popup/browser hijack. Porn sites of questionable shadiness are better about this crap than sherdog. Is it users posting hijack links in their posts that causes it? Is it a shady advertisement plugin used by sherdog? Sherdog is one of the only websites I visit that this constantly happens.

I was about to say that shit is going full steam ahead for me. Using this site is so good damn annoying. I love trying to feed my baby a bottle while reading sherdog and "WARNING WARNING YOUR ANDROID IS INFECTED!!!!"

Being that white belts cant make topics now (despite my join date, its whatever..) I'l leave this here again...

Using the Sherdog app as well

I get these every so often. It's just javascript that is embedded in the ad. The site most likely uses a third-party advertising company that doesn't perform any basic sanity checks on the ads. I wish Google would allow plugins for Android Chrome, so we can use ad-block without rooting the phone.

I get a much better redirect and created a thread about it here that has no been responded to.

It sends me to a "Microsoft" site that claims my computer is hacked. Click link to prevent all your files from being deleted!!!!

No answer despite providing a screenshot. That's a big issue. Those redirects have nothing to do with advertising popups.

Reports about bad ads should include the following:

1. Location/Country
2. Device
3. Browser
4. Company/product of ad.
5. A screen shot if possible,
6. Brief description of how the ad is a problem.
7. Page/Pages affected
8. Date and Time of occurrence.

Refer to the instructions for your device on how to take screen shots

A screenshot by itself is useless.
Each report should have it's own thread (i.e. don't post in each others reports)
These ads aren't that difficult to clean up when you provide the data
If you have a bad ad to report start a new thread with as much of the requested data as possible. All of it is important.
