The fight means nothing for the legacy of MMA, or boxing really, it'll happen, it'll pass, the world will keep turning and fans of the respective sports will keep watching in much the same way as Ali fighting the Japanese wrestler, in the long term no one will give a fuck.
 
People have been saying boxing is dead for like 100 years. If Floyd came to UFC and got James Toney'd, boxing would not die. Conor Mcgregor, regardless of what he screeches, is not mma.

I agree with what he says as to how ridiculous the matchup is. But the very things that make it ridiculous and that make people irrationally believe that Conor can win are the things that, arguably, make this the best betting opportunity in sports history. And once you have action, big action, it suddenly becomes extreeeemely interesting to watch, even if it is an embarrassing one sided event. All that being said, I've become paranoid that the fix may be in. The latest sudden and drastic shift in the betting lines toward Conor has done nothing to assuage that fear.
