Mw was def not the shark tank it is now. It's hard to say if he could adapt his game to the point where he could best the top guys of today. His flaws would have been exploited more viciously now.

Of course he was a great fighter,but some guys didnt give him the respect that others did and those are the ones that had real success against him. Yoel and Bobby knuckles and them aren't gonna cower in fear from this guy at any era.

He's definitely not GOAT tier, he's a tier below the likes of GSP and Jones (excluding failed PED tests) simply because of his wrestling. Silva was lucky there wasn't a GSP, Fedor, Jones, DC, Cain ect in his weight class because the Anderson we know wouldn't exist. He was lucky Chael had shit striking and bad sub defense.
