Am I the only single person on sherdog who thinks Ngannou will still be champ by the end of 2019?

The guy just didn't want to fight against Lewis and people wrote him off. He still has not reached his full potential yet and is not fully developed as a fighter. With more wrestling training and combined with his strength, size and athleticism, nobody will be able to stop the guy in 1 year from now IMHO.

Maybe. Say he rematches Stiopic for the vacant HW title after DC retires, do you see it going different? If Ngannou hasn't improved his wrestling enough, he'll probably get wrestle-fucked again for another 5 rounds.

I'm sure theres at least one other silly person.

Dont worry, im 100% sure ur not the only single person here on sherdog.

Was there a car wreck involving DC, Stipe and like 5 other HW's?

Where you place the word "still" matters.

He has no gas tank, no wrestling, and no heart. Those aren't problems that go away overnight.

Retirement age is 65 in the UK, not sure what it is in Cameroon?

Needs to upgrade from a Ford Escort to a F350...

A guy with no wrestling doesn't block 75% of Curtis blades takedowns like he did. And that happened when he had little to no wrestling training.

Ngannou has raw power and good boxing.

What he doesn't have is a good wrestling game or ground game for that matter.

He can improve but he wont be champion.

Depends on the DC situation. The Blaydes fight didn't really show us anything new that we already didn't know about Francis. We know he hits very hard and has a gas tank for about a round. If DC or Stipe are champs then I wouldn't bet on him.

He sure can if DC is outta the picture. You never know at HW and as bad as Stipe beat him, he couldn’t finish.

Address the cardio, shore up wrestling a bit and land the big punch. He’s got the tools

It's the UFC HW division, anything is possible with that mess.

I known it’s always could’ve, should’ve or would’ve but in that fight against Stipe I was surprised he didn’t connect with a clean KO shot. Even if he improves his wrestling he can still get wrestle fucked but even if he goes in with the same gameplan and didn't improve his ground game one iota I wouldn’t be surprised if he did land and finish in a rematch. I’d pick Ngannou via KO.

Yet he managed to get absolutely railed by stipe, who most would agree has less wrestling credentials than blades. Is he moving backwards?

Just you and that French dude that only posts about him exclusively

It kind of depends on who retires and when they retire.
