I heard UFC is thinking about all new weight classes, what do you guys think about those?

150 - Lightweight
175 - Welterweight
200 - Middleweight
225 - Cruiserweight
275 - Heavyweight

Seems pretty good too me!

UFC cannot invent new weight classes. They can adopt existing ones.

Weight class Upper weight limit
Strawweight 115 lb (52.2 kg)
Flyweight 125 lb (56.7 kg)
Bantamweight 135 lb (61.2 kg)
Featherweight 145 lb (65.8 kg)
Lightweight 155 lb (70.3 kg)
Super lightweight 165 lb (74.8 kg)
Welterweight 170 lb (77.1 kg)
Super welterweight 175 lb (79.4 kg)
Middleweight 185 lb (83.9 kg)
Super middleweight 195 lb (88.5 kg)
Light heavyweight 205 lb (93.0 kg)
Cruiserweight 225 lb (102.1 kg)
Heavyweight 265 lb (120.2 kg)

I would make a 130 pound division but only for hot chicks. Because what’s happening right now is you have skilled women cutting massive amounts of weight and it just doesn’t sell PPVs.

I guarantee you if you had hotter but less skilled women you would have more blood and violence. Just imagine Ariana Grande versus Hannah Montana. I guarantee you that fight ends in a finish.

A 275 pound division would have like 3 guys in it and 2 of them would gas in 12 seconds. The third would get suspended for roids.

Once the UFC is on board they need to scrap 170 and just make 175 Welterweight. Also bump Heavyweight up to 285 (in line with NCAA wrestling) if you’re adding 225.

And all of this should be done in conjunction with new weight cutting restrictions.

Why would you keep the 170 division when you have 165, makes zero sense

100 lbs - lightweight

200 lbs - heavyweight

Done!

LOL <45>

Might as well bring out the old VHS tapes

150 way too heavy for the lightest class, and 275 makes no sense at all.

275 does make sense if you're gonna add 225

Anybody opposed to this, just isn't seeing the big picture, which is there's too many weight classes! That's it

Hannah Montana, you mean Miley.

Am I wrong, or do many here feel that every guy over about 260 is a waste of time, yet these people still want a Cruiserweight div, even though our LHWs are already as big as the average heavies?

<150
151-175
176-200
>200

I really don't get this love for a Cruiserweight class at 225, especially with LHW and HW being some of the weakest divisions number and talent wise.

And you know this how? There hasn't been a ppv card with a WMMA headliner in a long time.

One of them would probably be cutting weight
