The next in line is probably Tony Ferguson. I'm not sure I want to see McGregor vs Ferguson right now.
Kevin Lee is a great grappler but he's not on Khabib's level. He could threaten the takedown but Mac has learned his lesson to not underestimate the striking, plus Kevin would be stupid enough to stand and trade for the first round if he doesn't get the first takedown. His chin is questionable too, Ferguson and Barboza both rocked him pretty bad in their fights. I'd say second round KO for Conor.
Gaethje is probably a win away from contention.
IMO most likely to happen is McGregor vs Poirier 2. Although Poirier got starched in their first fight, the man has been able to build himself up and has gotten solid solid wins.
He got KO'd by Johnson a few fights ago and looked wobbly against Gaethje several times.
I'm not sure his chin could withstand the shots.

That's the next fight for Conor.

Funny how he's backing off his immediate rematch with Khabib which he called Dana White for the night of the fight

He must have sobered up

Porier rematch or Nate trilogy should be his next fight.

Feed Canor to the winner of Lee-Al. Tony needs to fight Khabib next.

Nate, it's one Conor can win to set up Khabib 2, assuming it's not Khabib 2 straight away.

Maybe he’s been told that they’re doing Khabib v Ferguson so he needs to fight a contender.

Yeah, I don't want to watch him being held down for 4 minutes a round.
Khabib even managed to kill the excitement of a mcGregor fight. So yeah I don't want that again next either.

You should have posted the full analysis, quite interesting IMO.
Thoughts on my last fight.
Round 1. I believe from a sport standpoint, round 1 was his. Top position against the fence. Zero position advancement or damage inflicted. But top position.
From a fight standpoint the first round is mine.
Actual shots landed and a willingness to engage. Straight left early. Knee to the head on the low shot. Elbows in any and all tie up scenarios. Opponent just holding the legs against the fence for almost the entire round.
Round 2 he is running away around the cage before being blessed with a right hand that changed the course of the round, and the fight.
It was a nice shot.
After the shot I bounced back up to engage instantly, but again he dipped under to disengage. That is the sport and it was a smart move that led to a dominant round, so no issue. Well played.
If I stay switched on and give his stand up even a little more respect, that right hand never gets close and we are talking completely different now.
I gave his upright fighting no respect in preparation. No specific stand up spars whatsoever.
Attacking grapplers/wrestlers only.
That won’t happen again.
I also gave my attacking grappling no respect. To defense minded.
Lessons.
Listen to nobody but yourself on your skill set.
You are the master of your own universe.
I am the master of this.
I must take my own advice.
Round 3. After the worst round of my fighting career, I come back and win this round. Again walking forward, walking him down, and willing to engage.
Round 4. My recovery was not where it could have been here.
That is my fault.
Although winning the early exchanges in 4, he dips under again and I end up in a bad position with over 3 on the clock. I work to regain position and end up upright, with my back to the fence.
A stable position.
Here however, I made a critical error of abandoning my over hook at this crucial time, exposing the back, and I end up beaten fair and square.
What can I say?
It was a great fight and it was my pleasure.
I will be back with my confidence high.
Fully prepared.
If it is not the rematch right away, no problem.
I will face the next in line.
It’s all me always, anyway.
See you soon my fighting fans I love you all ❤
I cant help but notice, a little dig at Kavanaugh, almost as if it was not Conor`s idea to prepare to defend, but Johns.

Sure would like to see Poirier again, but that would leave Diaz without a matchup really. I don’t want to see Diaz 3 since people wouldn’t consider that a meaningful win for Conor.
I say it’s best to make Poirier vs Diaz happen and let Conor have Gaethje instead.

yeah give diaz another million $ payday, he deserves it....

Ferguson deserves title shot... or the actual belt.

Dustin's Hip suddenly feeling a lot better..

Book Tony/Khabib and Conor/Diaz or Dustin..

Yeah, I don't want to watch him being held down for 4 minutes a round.

Khabib even managed to kill the excitement of a mcGregor fight. So yeah I don't want that again next either.

you two should start watching other sports and keep as far away from mma as possible because you two are clearly retarted when it comes to mma knowledge. there was nothing wrong with Khabib's peformance against Conor. pretty exciting second and fourth round and overaal superb peformance by Khabib if you ask me.

if anything blame Conor for not being able to withstand the takedowns and ground and pound

Give him Tony already.
Dude deserves his noches be las bragas rojos.

Yes he did.

Keep up with the news.

Conor 's not backing out of the rematch, you idiot.

"I will be back with my confidence high.

He's just accepting that it might not happen right away. But you joined 5 days ago so I don't expect you to know.

lol right.

Conor calls the shots on who he wants to fight. We saw how "obsessed" he was with the Nate rematch yet he seems to have already given up on this rematch without much of a fight.

Let him be a stepping stone for Lee while Tony challenges for the belt. If he can't beat Lee, there's probably no point putting him in there with Khabib.
