it was short notice and a (arguably) bad matchup. he got hit clean and taken down multiple times but remained calm and won by ko.

Mendes didn't just gas by accident. He was kicked in the guts from literally the opening seconds. McGregor fucken ran to him from the bell and kicked him in the guts, for goodness sake.

Mendes connected fairly well in the 1st a few times, but aside from a few examples, every exchange looked easy for Conor.

I don't think it gives much insight to the upcoming fight, personally.
