That was so damn frustrating to what. Lombard gassed after 1 easy round that had it all going for him. And at MW, a easy cut for him. Props for Thales to have so much heart, but still felt like it was mostly Hector incompetence.

Leites just countered the kicks with punches and was willing to exchange punches with kicks. Lombard didn't want to know. Dismal performance by Lombard once again

Lombard hasn't won a fight in a looooong time.

Lombard literally travelled across the world to All-Stars in Sweden to train for this fight. Not even a change of scenery and working with Gustafsson, Latifi, Manuwa etc could get him on track. Disappointing. Suspect he is Bellator bound.

Does this finally confirm that Lombard was a glorified can crusher or did age/lack of PED catch up with him? Or both

So is Francisco Trinaldo and he still looks great.
We all age different. Look at BJ Penn for example. At age 31 he was already over the hill...

To be 40 years old and still kicking ass in mma is extraordinary and definitely not the norm..

Officially Hector has been branded on the island of the Denis Kangs and Brandon Veras of the world.

I think Lombard came to the UFC about 10 years too late. It's easy to get stagnant when you're running through everybody without much effort. To be fair, Bellator's roster is much better now than it was before Bjork got the boot, but it's still not anywhere near the UFC's level.

My point is that Lombard had a lot of potential in his prime and squandered it. He's 40 now, and not everyone is Dan Henderson or Randy Couture. Those types of guys are an anomaly, and most shouldn't be fighting beyond 37ish.

Let's also not forget that Leites has been in the UFC for a very long time fighting killers. He's not a bitch by any means.
