Honestly, his comments relating to Kebab's style reflect poorly on him as a representative of this sport. Say what you want about Kebab but his style of grappling is as aggressive and as geared towards damage as grappling can be. It's the complete opposite of the typical stalling used by other types of grapplers. If you can't enjoy or appreciate that on some level, you can't logically call yourself a fan of this sport.
Conor's comments/criticism is basically the same exact type of criticism those from striking based combat sports use against MMA, yet he is the face of the latter and is essentially feeding his cult the notion that trying to take your opponent down in a sport where wrestling is permitted is somehow cowardly, as opposed to trying to take your opponent down in a sport where it is not permitted - and failing miserably anyway:
