Technique wise yes, Conor is a better wrestler than Khabib is a striker.

But Khabib is a difficult striker to deal with such that he is a pressure fighter and uses an array of unorthodox strikes when setting up his takedowns. So though he may appear sloppy to the naked eye, the sloppy striking makes it harder to train for.

Khabib has the strength and grappling advantage and he does not tire out. Conor has the reach, striking precision and power advantage going into this fight. Conor needs to land multiple clean lefts on anyone in the 155+ division to finish them, where Khabib needs only one solid takedown to wear out his opponents within two rounds for all opponents besides a juiced Gleison and a game fighter in Iaquinta.
