Joanna has lost an MMA fight because of her grappling a total of 0 times

I can think of several champs who can't say the same

she had good td-defence...that seemed to be enough

Shit thread

Joanna has never lost a fight due to her ground game and has some of the most elite TDD in MMA.

She's been taken down before, she just has that Chuck style bottom game where she immediately pops back up
Yeah, very similar...did chuck ever win a fight by submission?can't remember one...maybe before ufc

She has a pretty strong ground game from what I remember. Because she specialises at kickboxing, she doesn't need to find on the ground and nobody has been able to force her to.

it seems fine, hard to really tell her since her TDD and ability to get back up are so good.

No. She's been taken down, but there's a reason no one's ever been able to advance position or get anywhere close to getting a sub on her. Her defensive ground game is solid.

That was kinda my point...we have never seen it

she's good at getting back up but not threatening with subs, her own tds, or gnp

obvious information

If Joanna had a poor ground game, she'd get her guard passed quickly, then ground & pounded or submitted. The fact that no one can advance position on her, do anything except land a couple weak punches on the ground, or even get into position to attempt a sub means she has a solid defensive ground game.
