Hi there

MMA fighting reported today that UFC 227 is estimated at 300k right now. A strong amount of sales given some of the recent numbers. It's nice to see these kind of numbers produced by primarily the BW and flyweight divisions! What are your thoughts?

More details on the situation provided in the link.

Edit: This is the second highest selling bantamweight fight in the history of the ufc

Mighty rat got lucky THIS time
IF he gets a cut of the PPV. Historically he does not get that and Dana only offered it to him if he was going to fight TJ.

Most likely MM didn’t get anything extra here.

300k manlet buys are like 80 - 90k real buys.

Not impressive.

sorry

People found a way to shit on two of the best matchups of the year. It was sad.

Was a good card, nice to see people valuing the card accordingly.

Hilarious how this is a success these days.

It was a great main event so not surprised it did decentwell. But amazing how quickly things have changed where 300K is now considered decent PPV numbers for a show with two title fights.

UFC makes money with that, right? I assume their revenue from a card is 50% of the PPV? 7 million or so?

That is an impressive number for a Mighty Mouse card.
I mean it was headlined by dillashaw and cody, so there's a clear difference. also it seems like cody was the actual draw in here

A bunch of haters in here... lol

It's the second most ppv buys in the history on bantamweight title fights so it's pretty good plain and simple

300k ppv buys would have been considered a catastrophic failure during the height of the zuffa era

TJ > Stipe.

HWs can't even out sell 135ers.
Stipe is as bland as cardboard.

Mighty Mouse riding the PPV point coattails of more entertaining fighters.

Dillashaw vs Garbrandt is a great fight even without all the drama. People are finally understanding how good TJ is

Kind of annoying how butthurt Stipe is about this whole thing
