Shogun was 16-2 after leaving pride 25 years young. He then entered the UFC and went 9-9. You're saying he left his prime at 25 years old? A fighter's prime doesn't magically end when he starts losing because it's convenient. He started fighting better men and lost half his fights, the end.

so randy couture was in his prime in 1988? vitor belfort in 2002? shogun left PRIDE and had a bunch of injuries, then took the LHW belt. a fighter's prime ends when their body stops performing at the highest level, which is at a different age for any individual. some guys peak early, some peak late. the number of fights and the damage sustained in those fights is a far better metric than age, but i wouldn't expect anyone who discovered the sport 3 months ago to understand that.
