He is/ was pretty sick. A botched heap replacement surgery followed by infection etc.

Not a lot of money in the bank either, MMA was rough to these veterans.

Edit: I'd even say he looks young when you consider the career he's had.
Lots of crooked nosed, scarred tough guys that didn't even make it to the pros.

Dude must have incredible genetics.

There are normal 36 year olds who have never fought who don't look a fraction as good as Shogun.

I still remember when Shogun won the belt at 28.

I must have been 19 or 20. Honestly, a little emotional to think about how much time has passed by since then (in my own life and through Shogun's career)

Many times Shogun was inspiring me in my life
