I thought Hearns beat him in the rematch and I thought Hagler beat him

But the dude knew how to convince judges he was winning a fight and tbh you can't hate a guy for being smart enough to know how to win, as much as those decisions bugged me

And even if he lost those fights, they were dead even scraps and he is still an all time legend

First boxing match I ever saw was Leonard-Duran I. What an introduction to the sport that was. Sure got me hooked.
 
Both classy guys. Role-model fighters.
 
Gives you an idea of how big a guy like SRL was at welterweight (boxing welterweight, 147). He looks every bit as big as GSP here.

Then you think, Tommy Hearns was over 6' tall and fought SRL at welterweight. That was just a terrifying division at the time.
