Why does he get a title shot?

Usman, Covington even Ponz have better wins at 170 and are more deserving of a title shot.

He did beat Wonderboy. Hell, even if you think he didn't it's undeniable that he did better than most of Stephen's other opponents.

We’re gonna sit around and wait for all the stripping of Colby theatrics, announcing the fight, hyping it up etc

And then till won’t make weight so it’s not for the title.

Nothing in the UFC makes sense anymore, watch Till campaign hard for a TS and then die on us trying to make weight.

Aren't the UFC just negotiating?

He did just beat Wonderboy, I know it was really close and uneventful but it still counts as a win.

This shit of the UFC constantly rewarding fighters who miss weight has to stop. They're basically encouraging guys to cut massive amounts of weight because even if they fail as long as they win it's basically treated as a non-issue.

He beat Wonderboy-missed weight but it doesn't matter. It never does when it's the first time

Also Usman is promoters nightmare at the moment and Ponzi doesn't really have even a Cowboy level win (Nelson closest but imo not enough). Colby is injured.

A win over Wonderboy is a win over the second best fighter in the division, regardless of him missing weight. The UFC isn't going to ignore that like you did.

He missed weight by 6 lbs, that fight should not count on his ranking.

He is 17 - 0 and just beat the # 1 contender. Are we really going to argue if he deserves a title shot?

Guys like Lesnar are getting title shots, waste your time arguing the justification for that crap.

actually according to officially unofficial rankings, if Colby is injured than it absolutely should go to Darren Till.

source

Champion : Tyron Woodley
1 Colby Covington (Interim Champion)
2 Darren Till

So your complaint should really be toward this:
"Rankings were generated by a voting panel made up of media members. The media members were asked to vote for who they feel are the top fighters in the UFC by weight-class and pound-for-pound. A fighter is only eligible to be voted on if they are in active status in the UFC. A fighter can appear in more than one weight division at a time. The champion and interim champion are considered to be in the top positions of their respective divisions and therefore are not eligible for voting by weight-class. However, the champions can be voted on for the pound-for-pound rankings."

TS was discussing wins at 170, which is probably at least half of the reason he didn't mention that fight.

Why does he get a title shot?.

If Tom Brady refuses to play in the Superbowl, his backup plays for him.

They don't delay the Championship game until Wednesday or whenever Tom feels like playing.

Sounds about right.
