This makes the fight much more fair to the fighter that made weight and accepts fighting at a disadvantage. No more cheating with skipping the last few pounds for an almost guarantee win. I hope fighters take note and don't accept just a purse cut.

Rumble had to do the same thing against Vitor, missed 185lbs and couldn't be over 205lbs on the day of the fight.

Good point. There should be an upper limit for missing weight. Not only do you give 30% purse. Also weight limit 1 day after.

it is an excellent stipulation that protects against a fighter just giving up during a weight cut and ballooning up as they normally would.
it also gives Thompson *huge* leverage if Till fails to make that weight tomorrow. He could demand the moon and Till will essentially have no choice but to agree...

Yes
He's offered his full purse already- he'd rather not cut weight again and get the W, make zero dollars, because like he said money is just money, money will come later. W's are important in game of cheating (dern till era)Someone could photoshop Dern's smiling face onto Till's arm (replacing whoever that is)
