Can the UFC stop killing fighters careers by giving immediate rematches?

Joanna is the latest casualty in the long line of fighters being given the rematch too soon.

See also: Jose Aldo vs Max

Anderson Silva vs Weidman

BJ Penn vs Edgar

Renan Barao vs TJ

There must be dozens of other examples

There should be a mandatory 2 fight win streak between rematches

Thumbs up if you agree with me

So you suggest GSP had to fight two more times before a rematch with Serra?

conor vs nate in a non title fight one.

the max vs aldo one kinda different cause there an injury and aldo took the fight on short notice.

Dana was already Conor’s bitch by this point and had to acquiesce to his demands

Aldo injury was typical Brazilian excuses lol

Alot of champs are delusional, so when they lose the belt its often hard for the UFC to get them to accept other fights other than a title fight

They all want a rematch and come up with some excuse as to why they lost

New matchmakers must spend all day watching YouTube and browsing Twitter for fighter beefs

IMO All dominant champions deserve an immediate rematch if they want one. Obviously in Aldo's case he didn't get one because Conor has more sway than your average fighter and he was more interested in winning a second belt, but Silva, Ronda, Joanna, etc. all did. Mighty Mouse almost certainly would too, if he ever loses.

Exactly, and they need to be saved from it for the good of their careers!

The way it used to be was there was a championship fight and the title changed hands, both fought someone else, and the winner of those two fights fought. It didn't work like that every time, but it worked when it did. Franklin went on the fight Quarry after he beat Tanner for the belt, Tanner went on the fight The Crow and lost, Franklin and The Crow fought. Similar thing happened when Randy lost the belt to Chuck. Rematches were reserved for weird shit like Vitor v Randy.

Why not have the same card back to back? UFC Liverpool this sunday and next sunday. To be absolutely sure about the first results.
