Wow I did not realize that Mr. Woodley is that short on smarts. Man in 3-6 more months without fighting, imagine the state of confusion he will be in when he is stripped for not fighting. Give yourself a break, and fight whoever they put in front of you. This should be every champs nightmare, you don't fight, we fight for a new champ. Do these belts mean only " I get more money" and that's all that matters anymore. Its a fukn joke. Good fighters should get paid more then shitty champs.

Tyrone isn't who the fans want to see, so they are going to give 2 of the highest ranked guys a chance to hold the belt

Wood is too busy gossiping on TMZ and sticking his nose in the Mayweather vs Conor MMA business so he can get some publicity and the UFC needs a new ww champion

It would be good if the UFC cut Tyrone when his contract expires so the division can move forward and business can resume as normal. He's probably cost the company millions of dollars alienating fans and making people not want to watch him so this is a logical move on the UFC's part

He knows what's up, he's just trying to bullshit like he always does. Watch him come up with some pea brained, self indulgent conspiracy theories in the next week as to why they are doing this and it should be crystal clear to everyone what the motive is behind the move.
 
On one hand, I feel for the guy, given how the UFC has jumped through its ass for Conor and Bisping. T-Wood is right that he has been one of the more active champs. But all of these BS title shots have got to stop. Nate Diaz should not get a title shot. So I think the UFC has decided that they are not going to be jerked around by T-Wood after what Conor in particular got away with.
 
Ariel said it. No one wants to fight each other in the division so they had to dangle a carrot to get these people to accept a fight.
 
He got booed out of the stadium in his last fight and blamed the fans. He was booed more than any fight in the last 100 UFC shows

All 3 of his defenses were amongst the worst in UFC history

Why is he surprised when they want to promote someone else instead? What did he expect to happen
 
It’ll finally make him shut up and fight one of two guys of THEIR choosing, not his. He can ask for money fights all day but if Colby or RDA has the interim belt, he’s got no choice...it’s quite brilliant
 
The Interim thing is kind of silly imo, as it's not like Twood has been an inactive champ.

But screw it, it sets up a nice unification bout as his next defense.

Whoever wins RDA / Covington will make for another solid contender. Let's just hope they can get Woodley to engage, and we get a break from his past couple of snore-fests.

Real champ are whoever defeated the best and defended against the best.

Fake champs are what make the most money.
 
shrug. if he fights the winner, it's a non issue.

if he wins RDA will get a slight bragging right for being a "two division champ", and some of the more dumberest of dumb sherdoggers will repeat it ad nauseam. but normal fans won't remember or care.
 
Twoof wants the Conor treatment but he’s a boring fighter, not charismatic, and doesn’t talk the shit or bring in the fans that conor does. Guy is delusional

people need to rewatch woodley/thompson 1. The 2nd fight was shitty and I think many of you are letting that affect your memory of the first fight.
 
Woodley should go up to 185 and beat the British out of Bisping.
 
He didn’t want to fight RDA. If things go like they should. He has no choice in the matter anymore. His moaning for money fights is old. The sooner he loses the belt the better.
 
He's confused about a interim when the top 2 contenders are guys he doesn't want to fight. And to make matters worse he wants a LW gatekeeper.

I think they're just trying to head Woodley off at the pass.

This way they can dictate his next fight once healthy and put an end to all these Nick, Nate, GSP, anyone who isn't currently a contender fight shenanigans.
