Does occasionally show good defensive boxing skills and a nice counter uppercut. He doesn't have any kicks or damaging offense though for the most part.

Nahhh just great athleticism. The speed and power caught Tavares (who is pretty terrible on the feet) off guard and he hits hard as we already know.

But literally jumping across the cage into a lead uppercut is going to get you countered against most good strikers no matter how fast you are and the windmilling punches afterwards were pretty LOL too

To be fair to Khabib though he doesn't do shit like this against the good strikers he fights, I think he just knew he could blast Thiago out of there and figured he might as well get on him
