I can see a Volkov vs Tyson Fury superfight happening. Right now Tyson Fury's striking would be too crisp. Volkov needs to work on grappling to take Tyson down at will.

Anthony Joshua is the more exciting prospect because his size and athleticism will allow him to compensate for his grappling deficiencies with much less training time.

That said, everyone really underestimates how dangerous boxers could be with little training.

Cro Cop wrecked shop in PRIDE after getting into MMA pretty suddenly. And he wasn't even a K1 champion level boxer. MMA guys pretty often go into kickboxing and win world titles and beat world champions. NFL guys go in and beat GOATs in their primes. And boxers >>>>>>>>> kickboxers.

A guy like Anthony Joshua could just go in right now and beat guys in the top 10.

6 months or even a year of ground training and he's beating top 5, top 3 guys in that upper tier that includes Stipe, Cain, etc.
