Both relatively young, very athletic, technical, ever-improving...Wrestling base is also a good plus.

Yes, Rumble was a ceiling for both, but:
- Rumble is a different animal;
- Both vs Cormier would've definitely been interesting more than DC vs Volkan.

The only decent LHW left in UFC is Gustafsson.
Davis and Bader would've eliminated easily all those who claim to deserve a title shot somehow, like Latifi.

Cormier would smash both of them

Gus would smash both of them (yes, a fluke loss to Davis changes nothing)

Rumble wrecks both of them (again)

Jones wrecks both of them (Bader again)

Plus it's not like either of them were exciting fighters either

I started to respond to you, then I realized that you're an idiot troll that floods the forum about Colby Covington.

GTFO of here. Shoo, shoo! Bad boy!

Damn right they are

Bader in particular, solid solid dude and was absolutely batshit letting him go

Anyone who talks shit about him
Being boring hasn't watched him fight properly

Not exactly right, he had his boring moments. His fights with OSP and Feijao were bad.
He knows to LnP.

Davis, BTW, is 100X more exciting on the ground.

You can cherry pick Baders moments for sure but go watch him execute Perosh, Latifi, lil Nog
Or have a somewhat technical standup bout with Evans
Even in losses he goes all out with Tex and Machida, rumble etc

Baders awesome
Davis... I can do without

Covington would wreck Bader and Davis with one arm tied around his back, boy

Stay salty

they aren't missed lol..
they brought in zero ppv revenue.. There's a reason why the UFC let them go to Bellator so easily bud

Wow you're really poor troll...just like virgin Covington himself.
Wait a minute.
Is that you, Colby? You're pathetic enough to try and build your brand in sherdog forum by yourself.

We're talking about LHW division, mister.
The only LHW to bring decent PPV revenue is sidelined and faces a huge punishment...

All the others are expendable alright but we're not talking about WME preferences here. We're talking about division's depth/relevance.

They could add some depth to the roster and deliver entertaining fights. Not championship material.

Probably are now with Jones, Rumble, and DC out of the picture.

Let’s not pretend Latifi, OSP, Manuwa, Volkan(Bellator reject) are in the same tier as Ryan Bader and Phil Davis. Basically just Gus now.

Even if DC is IN the picture...I'd prefer to see him against them, than against all the other roster.

At least they have decent level of MMA wrestling...

Sounds like you're saying they were the 5th and 6th best lhw fighters in the world.

You mean 3rd and 4th....considering the fact he mentioned Jones and Rumble...

Davis and Bader were basically the in-between guys--they're guys in between the elite, and the rest of the division. High level gatekeepers you might say.

They played an important role in that division, and without them the division looks broken and scarce.

Yep, actual definition of gatekeepers.

Gatekeeper =/= keeper of the gate to top 10, or top 5.
Gatekeeper = keeper of the gate to GOLD.
Not letting scrubs waste our time fighting for the title.

Yeah. There's a large chasm now between the top couple of guys and then the rest of the guys. Davis and Bader used to fill that void.

If any LHW should be missed it's Nikita Krylov ffs.
