The problem with significant strikes is that any half assed strike is considered significant.

That's really weird, the strike doesn't have to be anything near significant to be counter as so on fightmetric. Go figure..

He is basically saying that what they count as "significant strikes" is too broad and that they need another metric for strikes that are actually significant.

I'd recommend calling them power strikes instead of meaningful strikes. Meaningful strikes sounds dumb and is slightly more subjective than power strikes imo.

Edit: or just be more picky about what counts as a significant strike and don't use any new names. That would be best.
