GSP must fight Woodley.

Woodley is still not respected as the champ. Why? He is at Welterweight and hasn't beat the welterweight goat.

If Woodley beats GSP, it will bring tons of new fans in for Woodley. If GSP wins, it could set up a huge fight for the belt with Conor at Welter.

Either way, it might bring back some respect for the integrity of the division.

GSP would be good for Woodley's brand but Bisping was best for GSP's brand

If you think "Woodley beating GSP would bring him new fans" then you need to put the pipe down. Woodley would be more hated than cancer on here. It's a fight that HAS to happen but if Woodley didn't win by spectacular ko/tko but instead a boring/split decision, my god, he'd have to leave the country.

First off, GSP is medically not able to fight, right now.

So what are you doing ?

Secondly...

If Woodley beats GSP ... WTF ? You saw what Rory did to the duck, yeah ?

You trolls are beyond pathetic.

Even Nick knows the real deal...

Not entirely sure what's holding him back. GSP matches up fairly well against Woodley, as did Rory.

GSP by UD

Beating GSP won't bring him a shit ton of new fans.
It seems this fight is unlikely to occur. GSP wants money fights and Tyron is a much tougher fight than Bisping was.

Yes it would. Would solidify him as champion and would be a huge win against a goat.

If GSP fights Woodley. He'll beat him. And then vacate the belt. Then the division would be much worse off.

That actually wood be a good way for Woodley to get a little respect. Still though, even if he beats GSP, GSP isn't in his prime anymore, so idk if anybody would care. But even now, GSP probably beats Woodley

At the beginning, Woodley's lack of fans and respect had everything to do with his personality and attitude, and when he did defeat legit contenders they didn't amount to anything because his first impression to the public was marred by the aforementioned bad personality and attitude.

I don't like Woodley but there's a reason GSP never was excited about fighting him: he'd KO GSP clean, would end badly for GSP, the canadian duck will just stay away until someone beats Woodley.

You do realize that GSP has made a career out of beating orthodox/powerful wrestlers right? Kos in his prime could cover more distance with his double and he still got shellshocked. Woodley is and always will be, a bigger/slower/more powerful/more accurate Koscheck.

Georges will drill a hole in his head with the jab. The only time Georges has looked like complete ass was against Hendricks, who was a pre-USADA darling...Who happened to have all the tools to make the fight more difficult for GSP's style.

1-Was a southpaw
2-A southpaw who could hand fight GSP's jab.
3-Decorated/strong wrestler
4-Massive power
5-Because of the previous 4 points he took away half of GSP's takedown success by nullifying that piston jab of his.

Woodley has nothing new to bring to the table that GSP hasn't already seen or experienced...If anything it's more of the same old shit.

So, why was Robbie Lawler respected?

So, why was Robbie Lawler respected?

1-Veteran UFC "just bleed" fighter.
2-Always brings it in every fight.
3-Never ducked anyone to my knowledge.
4-Never cherry picked his opponents.
5-Never tried to get out of a fight because the other guy wasn't a sell(Or else Woodley would have never had his shot.lol)
6-Smiles and laughs the more you damage and hurt him.
7-Never complained about having to defend his belt against contenders.(Woodley seems to be insulted every time the top 5 want to fight him)
8-Robbie just doesn't give a fuck.

Contrast that with Woodley and you get the jist of it really

And even after all that, Woodley shut him down with one punch.
