Fedor fought in a weak era - and the past-prime excuse

Roger Federer is GOAT to most, but he won half his slams before Nadal and Djokovic came along and those 2 have winning records against Federer. Federer's first 8 grand slams were very easy wins against weaker competition.

Fedor beat UFC's best guys, but they were only Sylvia and Arlovski. Tougher guys came along and CroCop got knocked out by Gonzaga... Then comes the convenient excuse: Pride champs are past their prime! Give me a break. Take away the ''past prime'' argument and what remains of our pride fighters?

Fedor losing to Werdum and Maldonado. Guys Miocic annihilated. CroCop couldn't do nothing against Overeem, Dos Santos, Mir, Schaub, Gonzaga, and everyone else.

This might be heresy around these parts, but there is so much suspicion of steroid abuse in Japan.

Dos Santos, Cain and Miocic brought us into a strong era, definitely above Arlovski-Fedor-Big Nog

Why is there no example of pride guys dominating at least one strong era fighter? Because past-prime? Is that a valid excuse?

Fighter don't have primes.


If they aren't as good 15 years into their career as they were 5 years into their career then they are terrible fighters.

You don't see writers complain about their "primes." You don't hear musicians complain about their "primes."

It's obviously all bullshit.
 
The USADA era is the weak era for HWs.

He fought more HW monsters than even exist anymore.

Writing and music aren't full-contact sports.

Fedor competed in MMA and Sambo at the same time, that combined with his lack of drive definitely took a toll on him. Right before Fedor lost his first match to Werdum, he had already lost his first Sambo match. So the sign was obviously there that his time was done.

Federer won more slams than djoko in last 365 days..... lol and same number as Nadal ..all that while being 5 & 6 years older,not to mention that djoko & nadul bodies are falling apart while he is gliding around .....

Djokovic has been injured, and had just won the 4 grand slams in a row, beat Federer twice in the Wimbledon finals. Federer has losing records against Djokovic and Nadal? Djokovic and Nadal have won more masters 1000s. Djokovic has best all-time winning percentage for all matches, 81%.

Federer did nothing the last 5 years. Last year Djokovic was out injured thats why he won those slams.
