Rewatched Stipe vs Ngannou. Nowhere near as dominant as people are making it seem

Stipe won the fight and in my book is a true hardass. But people acting like Stipe CRUSHED/SMASHED Ngannou are literally koolaid sipping idiots.

Cain vs JDS is what a beatdown looks like. Stipe vs Ngannou was a wrestling clinic, NOT a beatdown.

Stipe didn't dominate Ngannou, Stipe out wrestled him, there's a huge difference. Ngannou punched himself out, and then Stipe capitalized by taking him down, where he layed on him inactively for over 3 minutes.... only throwing a random punch every now and again when Herb warned him about inactivity.

Ngannou was gassed to all hell, and Stipe still couldn't/didn't come close to putting him away. In case you forgot, the fight finished with both men standing.

Damage? Ngannou looked exactly the same at the end of the fight, as he did in the beginning, just more sweaty. Stipe on the other hand had a wrecked eye from a glancing blow.

Lastly, the person that came the closest to getting KOed was Stipe with the right hook in the 2nd or 3rd that put him on queer street.

Not discrediting Stipe at all, he's a f*cking warrior out there, and the best man that night won. But to say that Ngannou isn't a warrior also, is just as bad as the people who were saying that Stipe had no chance.

Objectively speaking, aside from Ngannou punching himself out and getting out wrestled, the fight was much more even than alot of you are making it seem.

Cliffs:

1. Stipe is a badass, certainly one of the top HWs in UFC history....his record speaks for itself.

2. Those writing off Ngannou as another Bob Sapp are complete idiots. He showed the
tenacity and grit that you expect from a top level fighter. He'll get another title shot
sooner than you think.

the black skin hides a lot of damages. He got hit a lot more. Look at the stats

Doesn't get much more dominant than 50 - 44.

Stipe controlled 98% of the entire fight.

50-44.

80+ strikes to 0+ strikes in round 4.

Keep dreaming TS!

50-44 across the board and 200-33 total strikes is domnation. Francis just doesn't show damage.

Ngannou hype subscribers still in denial

Yeah..objectively speaking. Pretty even fight.

Ngannou actually had a bit of swelling himself. Just a little harder to see.

It's way more impressive than people are giving him credit for.

Stipe's been on a first round finishing streak too, and a clearly under-developed Ngannou went the full 5 with him. I wasn't giving Ngannou more than a punchers chance and even when it played out how I expected it to, I still would of never expected him to last all 5.

Stipe is a really great, durable and smart fighter. But people acting like Ngannou didn't just offer him his biggest recent challenge didn't watch the fight.

The degree of domination has been blown out of proportion

Only one 10-8 round
If you never watched the fight and only went by what sherdoggers say you'd think every round was 10-8

It's was an impressive win, no need to oversell it.

Dude.

You are living in a dream world.

50-44.
Over two hundred strikes. One round 80+ compared to 0.

You're fooling no one.

Maybe yourself, but probably not even that.

I'm sorry but that's BS. He didn't have so much as a scratch on him when the fight ended, even when the cameras were focuses on him so you could see his face clear as day.

He completely outclassed him in all aspects of the game. Nothing left to be said. It was an amazing performance.

Stipe is a great example of somebody that simply Peaked late. He was not great five years ago, but he sure is now.

Who caused more damage? Did you catch Stipe's eye after the fight? That was from a glancing blow.

Ngannou's face was fine.

Did TS mentioned he watched it with the sound off and one eye closed
