In a row, all dominant victories, all (T)KOs except for the five round wipeout of Francis

Greatest streak in HW MMA history

Your GOAT, ladies and gentlemen.

Can't argue.

The only reason to think Stipe isn't the GOAT HW is him not being undefeated, as Fedor was.

Junior Dos Santos beat Werdum, Struve, Crocop, Yvel, Gonzaga, Nelson, Carwin, Cain and Mir in a row

JDS' streak is basically unmatched in purely name terms. Tore the entire division apart en route to unseating a seen-to-be-unbeatable undefeated champion.

His performances are a lot better as well. Compare him nuking Hunt with overhands and then killing him with a wheel kick to Stipe love-tapping him for 22 mins until he passed out, for instance.

Impressive

Not quite as impressive as this, though

Hunt, Arlovski, and JDS are past their primes

Reem is as well but I'll leave him be since he's been killing it since turning Eco

So That really leaves Werdum, Reem and Ngannou which is very impressive

Stipe is good, but lets be real. He lost to JDS and Struve, Overeem nearly stopped him, and he looked horrible against Ngannou--not able to finish, or even come close to finishing, a guy that was completely gassed after 1 round.

If he was the greatest HW ever than why was he an underdog, in his prime, against a guy with such little experience?

JDS has a better resume.

He has one of the best resumes in HW history.

Stipe is close behind him though.

Stipe had an out of shape Hunt and Werdum, glass jaw Reem and Arlovski, a green and clearly out of shape Francis, past prime JDS.

Like another poster has said, if Maldonado and SDR are in your top 10 wins you have a bit more to go.

Because on film, Stipe is underwhelming. Nothing he does is particularly eyecatching or impressive. He did the bare minimum against Francis, who was immobilized by his stamina from about 3 minutes into the fight. Just rode on him and kept enough rabbit punches going to prevent a standup. Can you imagine the sort of punishment Cain or Fedor would unload in that sort of scenario?

It's why Cain will probably be the betting favourite going into a Miocic fight despite the layoff. Stipe is the Tim Sylvia of this era. He keeps beating everyone, but he can't beat the eye test.

Nog has a better resume than JDS, who has a better resume than Werdum, who has a better resume than Stipe.

Fedor trounced Nog twice at his peak and was the unquestioned king of the sport for seven years.

HW is weird. Stipe is not the GOAT.

Tim Sylvia never kept beating everyone.

The eye test? Stipe looks pretty fit. Certainly not like Sylvia.

Because his fight abilities lacked all time great potential. All he does is jab cross, and quick TDs. Where’s the lethal kicks, knees, elbows?. Can he rag doll fighters like Cormier can or trip people like a Romero? NOPE. Where’s the BJJ? Absolutely 0. The Ngannou was a testament of how bad Stipe is fighting a slugger with 0 ground game and gas tank of Dada 5000. When he had Ngannou down, he had no sub attempts, no full mount to deliver punishing GnP, and against the fence, he stalled and kept looking at the clock.

He beat everyone at HW until Couture came back and ran shop on him. A guy that is successful yet unremarkable.

Miocic-Ngannou was Coleman-Vovchanchyn if Vovchanchyn was way less coordinated and didn't have excellent cardio. And if Coleman was 1/10th the kind of threat he actually was from top position.

This is kind of how I feel. It's certainly impressive but some of those names were well past their prime. You're nice though. I wouldn't include Reem. He robbed Doom and has been a glass cannon for a while. Stipe is good and I certainly became a fan after this last fight. Throwing him into the GOAT status just because he had 3 HW defenses? I just can't do it.

Lmao jesus, the hate is real. He looked horrible? He couldn't have been any more dominant loool

The graphic beating that Stipe put on Hunt in every aspect of the sport still holds the record for most strikes landed in UFC history against all weight classes. It's literally the worst beating in UFC history.
