What´s your opinion sherdog, who had a more impressive run for the belt?

And how much importance do you give to Carwin´s interim belt?

Shane Carwin:
5 fight winning streak. All 1st round KOs.
KOed Mir and got the interim belt. But lost the unification to Lesnar.

Francis Ngannou went on a 6 fight winning streak.
All stoppages. 4 in the 1st round.
Lost to ufc hw goat Stipe.

ngannou is terrible lmao brett rogers better than botth

It's hard to pick.

Shane knocked out Mir and Manbear pig. Francis knocked out Overeem and AA. But AA was on a 3 lose streak when they fought.

Both hugely disappointing. Carwin moreso.

I expected Miocic to win, but Carwin absolutely should have beaten Lesnar.

shanecarwin for sure overeem stylistically was perfect for him no takedowns not a good boxer at least mir was gonna try to take carwin down and was dangerous vs him its like gunner nelson vs maia maia has no fear int hat fight he isnt gonna submit him

Brett Rodgers gave prime Fedor a run for his money

Brett Rodgers = 25 Shane Carwins
Ngannou = 8 Shane Carwins

lesnar was the hw goat at the time look at wat he did 2 awesome title defenses beat up a prime mir carwin randy couture and dude hardly had any fights and had surgeries 2002 wwe brock lesnar fighting then up till he got sick hed have been champ as long as aldo had his belt

the mir carwin beat is better then any1 ngannou is gonna beat

beating old man arlovski who lost like 3 in a row and overeem isnt nearly as impressive. ill take mir and gonzaga

To be fair carwin almost beat Brock.... that fight could
Have been stopped

How is a win over reem not impressive? He was consensus number 2 at the time. He beat jds, hunt, and werdum fair and square.

see I like stipe but he is not the goat yet he is still active. who'd win if they fought? I'd say Carwin.

How about neither of them? 'cause Carwin had a Sokoudjou kind of run.

Carwin fought a higher level of prime hw's to a degree.
And really should have beat Bork..
And Francis seems to be more destructive but greener..
He will not change much at this point . He bangs and that's his game.

Sea level and a actually active and fit Cain would maul the crap out of the latest hype train..
And I suspect that werdum would tap him..

#2 in a weaker hw division then when lesnar was champ

when lesnar was champ you had carwin cain and jds all on the come up alongside mir at his best plus big nog wasnt totally washed up yet.

knocking out mir the way carwin did it is more impressive then beating reem - reem has been knocked out like 6 times in the ufc now by guys like bigfoot, browne, rothwell etc.

aside from lesnar pulverizing mir at ufc 100 many thought lesnar vs mir III was inevitable and had mir beating carwin in their fight - mir had juiced up to 265 to prepare for the lesnar rematch

Shane Carwin, he almost beat Lesnar, and was the underdog (albeit it slightly).

Ngannou was actually the favorite to win, and was never all that close to winning that fight in the 1st round, then just got embarrassed the next 4 rounds.
