What do you expect him to say? Too much is made of this.. Conor is his fighter and he is going to side with him in everything right or wrong. What will be good is if they ever split and the truth comes out from behind the scenes.

Conman's never defended a belt in his life, so him defending would be the anomaly. So yeah, im guessing Irish Edmund did think that.
 
He is right on one hand. Many people still view Jon Jones as the LHW champ/best in the division.

If they strip Conor his supporters will still say he is the real champ.

P.S.: I laugh at people bitching about him not defending. Like if you were in his shoes you'd turn down a 100 million pay day all for the sake of the LW belt and this evil empire the UFC is made out to be by most of you. <45>
 
Conor is undefeated at LW in the UFC. The only undefeated LW Champion in UFC history!!! 1-0 baby, from gifted title shot to the grave

GDR refused to fight the only other WFW fighter and was stripped after three weeks... Conor's avoided two entire divisions and a sport. Hasn't fought in over a year, and still wears gold.
 
any belt on mcgregors waist is a problem. not because of that he is so skilled that he can defend that thing like a anderson silva or GSP.
no, he has his own gameplan to hold the belt... just hold up the division... talk shit, cocky around, wants to try to get a share from the company for a defense...
and next time he will some share from ireland or from the moon to build his own space station.
