But the question at this point was was it intentional use, or were there extenuating circumstances.

The latter has become the likely scenario,
It's been 6 monthsish since his last competition anyway, and if precedent is any indication in the case of unintentional use we usually see something like 6, 10 or 12 months.

He'll be back in January, cleared of intentionally cheating (just like last time) and be back to being the GOAT, and you haters will be crying about it.
