I think the idiots who thought they were in good company with the trolls just wanted to fit in, rather than actually being impressed by Perry; seeing as there's nothing impressive about him.

I wouldn't say derailed. He lost 2 out of 3, but he wasn't dominated or beat up THAT badly. Ponz didn't look that good afterward either.
