Just when I was becoming a GSP fan.
A tragedy for sure, but the man has nothing to be ashamed of. A minimum 8 month layoff for medication and recovery would delay his return a long time, maybe even years. At that point it would make sense to not fight again as he would be approaching 40 and coming off a serious illness.
