He wasn't the ref standing people up for no reason, he didn't have to deal with a fighter biting another fighters fingers and poking him in the eye and he also didn't stop a fight too early.

So all in he did just fine when compared to the other refs, he gave warnings about stalling and did stand the women up but they were doing nothing, it was a far more legitimate stand up than the others that happened.

It depends on the former fighter on whether I'd want them as my ref. I wouldn't want Chris Leben. When I'm almost in a coma and bleeding out both ears from strikes he will say "This is your chance to shine! You better work!"
