Post fight bonus for missed weight fighters

On the card of UFC Sydney frank Camacho and Damien brown fought in a catchweight due to Camacho missing weight by nearly 5lbs.

Yet, they still put on a crowd pleasing slugfest to win the fotn bonus. Camacho most likely had to forfeit a percentage of his fight purse but he was also declined the bonus.

My question is does Damien brown receive camachos bonus undisclosed or does UFC pocket the 50K for next time?

It's only fair to give it to Damien for keeping the fight alive or give some to Camacho for being the other half for making the fight exciting. It takes 2 to tango

I'd rather they take it and just use it as another POTN bonus.

It is a two part contract (Make agreed weight and fight) nothing about being guaranteed a bonus. And yes he gave up 20% of his show money for missing weight.

UFC is the only organization that gives out a bonus that I am aware of. Once you break your contract you no longer qualify for the bonus.

On the Sydney card prefight show, they said the 4 fighters who missed weight were not eligible for bonuses. That's in addition to having a % of their purses deducted.

They should give them the bonus. But maybe give them a hell of a talking to. or maybe Dana takes the other fighter to ice cream, clearly ducking a hangout with the missed weight fighter. but give the man a fotn bonus if he put on the fight of the fucking night.

You missed the whole point, he is being punished for missing weight not rewarded, if he had not missed weight he would have got his bonus.
He should be glad he was able to fight and make a check at all since he failed to meet his obligations. If you give him a bonus him along
with all the other fighters will think fuck it i will get mine anyway so fuck making weight.
