On his wiki page and on his sherdog profile, Tai is 6-0, ith 6 KOs all in the first round.
That's how UFC presented him, right?

And I found this fight of his, when he was defeated by Peter Graham. It looks like a professional fight.

It's an MMA fight, and the fight appears on Peter Graham's record.
Win 8–5 Tai Tuivasa TKO (punches) Combat 8:03 27 April 2013 2 2:48 Sydney, Australia

Also, he has other fights which do not appear on his resumee. Like Ismael Lazaar or John Hopoate (0-0 on sherdog). Both fights are on youtube.

What is happening here?

ismael Lazaar was a kickboxing fight and not an MMA one

I have no idea how SD manages to keep up with so many no name fighters fighting in some barns all over the world, anyway, so it's sure thing that some fights will slip trough.

Good find.

That wasn't really so lowkey though. Tuvasa was already hpyed before the Graham bout and both him and Graham were more well known than some of the obscure fights that get listed on there.

Did it have some special rules or something?

Someone in the comment section of the youtube video of the fight said

"Custom rules bout. Kicks, elbows and knees were not allowed."

That's why it's not on his MMA record...I guess.

Peter Graham is not a no name fighter. He fought Cheik Congo, Minakov, Alexandr Emelianenko. It's actually the best fighter Tuivasa has fought.
Not to mention his kickboxing record: Hunt, Badr, Schilt, Remy.

I don't think it had special rules since the fight is on Graham's record.

Edit: Or maybe I was wrong

Good spot TS, you are right. I also went on Tai's wiki and other MMA profile websites and they all have him undefeated and never fighting Graham, but the funny thing is I went on Grahams's wiki and other MMA profile websites and it lists his win over Tai. So strange.

UFC often lies and makes up records. Rogan keeps saying all the time that Stephen Thompson is 57-0 in kickboxing, hahahahahaha LMAO. I have been watching pro kickboxing since 1996 and never ever heard of Thompson, I only first saw him when he was in UFC. If he was 57-0 as a pro kickboxer he would be one of the greatest kickboxers to ever live LMAO. I have seen all the top promotions and never seen him. After I looked on kickboxers finders which lists all the pro kickboxers and there is no one such as Stephen Thompson, name doesn't even exist in the database hahaha. Keep up with your BS Rogan and UFC.

These are like amateur bouts on Indian reservations and native casino's, he is not a real pro kickboxer in terms of K1, Glory, and all the other pro kickboxing organisations, I never ever seen him in it, never even heard of him until UFC. if he was 57-0 he would be one of the greatest kickboxers that ever lived, but I don't know a kickboxing fan who has ever heard of him lol

His fight with Tuivasa was mixed rules I'm pretty sure so that may be why. Kind of reminds when Nikita Krylov debuted, his records all said he was undefeated but someone did some digging and found out he got choked out twice.

Watch the video before making the thread. It mentions special rules like no headkicks and needing to ask if spinning backfists were ok.

UFC tried to bury the Graham.fight so they can hype Tai as next McGregor

Those must have been "Dark fights".

It had custom rules, something about takedown were only for 30 seconds or something.

It was practically a kick boxing match.

Lmfao if that's true it's even worse. obviously Tuvasa has gotten much better since but if I remember correctly Graham wasn't much of a boxer in his kickboxing bouts

he looked completely different in his ufc debut, he improved a lot
