I do, I think he's fun and brings a cool energy to the team. I'm a fan. I know Thug Roe x15 was a bit much but give him some time and he will learn how to deal with those shocking moments better.
He's not very good as a commentator. He's ok on the pre-show with prepared analysis, but he's not great with the live action. And I'm not the biggest fan of active competitors doing the commentary.
Doesn't he admit his bias or do you guys mean he calls shit that is not there based on the fighter he likes..the way Jim Lampley says bam when a shot doesn't connect based on whatever fighter HBO wants to be a star?
I never really thought about it, so I guess that means that he is adequate, but not outstanding.
If he was sub par, I'd notice; if he were fantastic, I'd notice that as well.
Commentary is fine, but it is basically background noise to me.
