There has never been, nor will there ever be, a MMA Champion, or any MMA fighter, that could or will become a top level boxing Champion.

Why?

If you have the hand speed to be a boxing champion, you go into boxing. There's a lot more money in it.

That is all.

Someone tell Conor, Cody, and the other blow hards.

Actually there isn't a lot more money in Boxing in general. Nobody really cares about the super middle welter cruisish weight champion.

Yeah well, it’s never happened the other way either. And likely never will either

I guess nobody told Conor there's no money in not being a boxing champion.

I wish folk who push this boxing pay is better meme would actually check out a few Las Vegas or California cards. The commissions publish the details and apart from a handful of guys at the top of the card, a chick with half a dozen fights making her UFC debut will be earning far more

It already happened... Lucas Browne was an undefeated world boxing champion after leaving MMA as a bum.
Its easy when there are 6-9 titles called world champion in each dev lol. Plus HW is the weakest shit in boxing.
He just got suspended for PEDs though.

People see things like Errol Spence getting 2.5mil and think that somehow that covers all boxers. The pinnacle of boxing is bigger than mma in terms of pay but the average mid tier fighters in the UFC are way better off than a guy on showbox or Friday night fights.

There's been kickboxers who transitioned to boxing and became champions like the greatest female boxer of all time Lucia Rijker and as already posted in this thread Lucas Browne had his first mma fight before his boxing debut and beat Ruslan Chagaev which is legit af

But if we are talking about THE champion of a competitive weight class in boxing than that is damn hard task for any type of athlete/fighter. Boxing does have so many weight classes and toy belts that it wouldn't be that amazing if someone with pure mma training won one of the toy titles.

seeing as it's about the money, then Conor did better than almost all boxers in history of boxing

Conor will never be a boxing champion, his boxing skills are good for mma, but as far as profesional boxing Conor is not even good enough to beat a Golden gloves champ.

0/10 thread.

Lucas Browne was the CFC heavyweight champion in MMA. He became the WBA Boxing heavyweight champion after defeating Chagaev in 2015. This was not a made up belt. The WBA is a legit world title.

Now, please show me the boxer who became a world MMA champ.
