gsps path to victory, let's be real, is take downs, top control, and lnp. Occasionally he implements a jab (Fitch, koschek2). But in the vast majority of title defenses, he couldn't win w/o being awarded points for takedowns and control. Points as opposed to damage and finishing, is mainly how he won.

Now Dana And friends state that they are basically punishing woodley for a boring performance against Maia, in not presenting a gsp vs woodley fight, which is a fight that makes infinitely more sense than gsp vs bisping

But could it be that after seeing wonderboy, a much more skilled striker than gsp, get completely neutralized twice, and then seeing Maia who is a more dangerous finisher and grappler than gsp(Maia actually finishes people on the ground while gsp couldn't finish Dan hardy) get completely rendered useless, that gsp knew he had no path to victory against woodley.

Now I know woodley is hurt, but is the real reason we see gsp fight bisping and not fight woodley, is that gap sees a path to victory against bisping (which is sad that the mw champion is seen as so vulnerable by a retiree) and not woodley?

GSP would whoop Woodley too

#GOAT

His APE technique is too good

Yea it's cause Woodley is a much more difficult fight for GSP than Bisping cause Woodley is a better wrestler than GSP and can defend takedowns without negatively affecting any part of his game. Bisping having the MW strap presents a unique opportunity for GSP. It's the reason why GSP started to call out Bisping when he was still a year out from being able to fight again. He's being very selective about who he will fight which is why he will call out Conor if he beats Bisping.

Truth be told it would have been much smarter to put on GSP vs Woodley cause the MW division is clogged up with contenders while Woodley is twirling his thumbs waiting for a WW contender to emerge.

A lot of people would say that GSP vs Bisping will draw more audience but I don't believe it. GSP vs anyone at this time would be huge.

GSP is fighting Bisping because it is the least risk for more rewards. That is how the stock market works. LOL

He is coming off a 4 year layoff at a higher weight class fighting the champion at said weight class and it's still too easy for GSP.

Admit it nothing GSP can do will be good enough for you.

And then if GSP wins he is gonna call out Conor like in who gives a fuck about the damn title? Im getting sick of this shit. Fuck Bisping, Fuck GSP, Fuck Conor.

War Mighty mouse

Because he doesn't wanna get duff'd

The Bisping fight will sell better that's the answer

GSP worked literally everyone he's ever faced on the feet. Look at what he did to Thiago Alves. A huge (pre USADA) world class muay thai fighter. Fuck outta here, pretending like his only path to victory is takedowns. GSP is clearly the best MMA standup fighter in the history of the WW division. Anyone who tries to claim otherwise is an idiot.

No, it won't. GSP wanted no piece of Anderson and wants no piece of Woodley. Bisping said they used to train together and GSP completely dominated the wrestling. That's why this fight is happening. GSP is too scared to return to his own division. GSP is taking advantage of a weak champion let's call this what it is. He doesn't even belong in the cage with Woodley at this point.

GSP would wreck Woodley and it wouldn't even be entertaining

Bro, shut the fuck up for fucks sake. Stop acting like people are just randomly hating GSP.

GSP reasoning to fight Michael Bisping is RETARDEDLY transparent. He wouldn't have picked Rockhold over Woodley. Michael Bisping is the least threatening champion, that's just fact. Just like Eddie Alvarez was the perfect LW champ for Conor to beat.

if I could give you 2 likes I would.

It was Dana's call and after UFC 214 he went for Bisping vs Gsp. If Woodley's fight vs Maia wouldn't have sucked he'd fight Gsp.

He's taking (likely) a bigger payday, to fight an easier opponent, in a fight that will do more to add to his legacy if he wins. Call it a duck if you want to, but he has every reason in the world to take this fight.
