If he ever gets motivated and doesn't get injured. Cain Velasquez.

I'm excited for Frankie potentially beating Holloway.

Me too, but that wouldn´t be considered getting his belt back, but getting a new belt. That´s why I didn´t include him or RDA.

Understood. I misread and thought ALL former champions.

Rockhold then Cain and Aldo, not sure the rest have much of a chance at this point. Dom Cruz maybe could but he's had 2 tough fights recently and I'm not sure he's getting any better. That gif of Rochold pounding weidman's face in full mount is fucking great, fuck I hate that weidman fuck and anything to do with fatt sera.

Rockhold, Weidman and Anderson vs Bisping.

Luke and Cain. Luke likely smashes Bisping in a trilogy fight, and a fight against Whittaker is tough to call. And if Cain can get somewhat healthy, I think he has a good shot against Stipe.

Werdum is now 40 and looks to have slowed down. He's unlikely.
Aldo is unlikely. The current diminished version of Aldo can't beat Max.
Cruz is unlikely to beat Cody or TJ at this point.
Alvarez likely can't beat the top LWs, i.e., Conor, Tony, and Khabib.
Robbie looks to be on the back end of his career, but WW is so thin that anything is possible.
Weidman seems to be a step behind the top MWs.
Pettis and Anderson: just no.

Edit: to answer the question, because

Edit again... to answer among the fighters given
Cain may be the most capable. Maybe. But seeing as he's not all about the belt, and his history of being sidelined, tbe UFC may go with the flow and not bother with a title fight.

Werdum we barely saw, but Stipe is a bad matchup, and is also I question if Werdum has the fight IQ to overcome that.

Silva, only with a Bisping or GSP matchup would I give it a shot...

Aldo is declining, although boxing could give him a boost.

I think Rockhold is most likely. Still elite, not aged or worn like some others.

Most of the others I doubt for various reasons. Aldo with a better game plan may be more likely than some of the others, but his next fight may show if he still can do it.
