I had no idea Nate the Great was still fighting let alone still in the UFC.

With wins over Woodley and Maia the last title contender , and some other very impressive wins when dinosaurs still roamed the earth , how much interest or sense does this fight make?

What would Nate need to do to get into the picture for that (besides winning his upcoming fight decisevly obviously. )

And where would it make the most sense? @ WW for the strap? Or since wood has mentioned thinking about trying out 185 make that his first fight @ 185?

I think it would make a good draw promoted properly @ either for the strap or first 185 fight.

Nate is a shell of his former self and would get schooled by Woodley. Thank USADA

Nate Kumquat vs T-Bone Woodley ?

Yes but how many wins and who would he need to beat to get a shot at wood?

No one really stands out now and you have Nate who's still active that holds wins over wood and maia

Marquardt has lost 8 of his last 11. You asking "how many wins does Marquardt need for a shot" is beyond pointless.

never gonna happen.
However Nate has the best ultra combos, and he beat Vitor.

So would everyone rather be fights Maia and lawler again whom he's both already beaten or give the great white hype a shot.

Guy that owned him thouroughly

woodley wouldnt take that fight

Because he's scared.

What if it was offered as his first 185 fight instead of for the belt @ 170?

Or is he dilusional enough to think he's done enough to ask for a 185 title fight right off the bat?

he wouldnt take it anyway because he knows he cant beat him.

the loss to nate was brutal, the kind of loss that stays with you and makes it that you can never get over it, even if you become a better fighter than that opponent they will always own you mentally so that you can't win

Hence the saying "he has his number"

Kind of like Dennis hallman over Matt Hughes
