Respect to both of these fighters, and attention can be brought to weak supporting acts on the card.

The facts speak for themselves: Let every Bisping hater hang their heads in shame for criticizing a man who never picks his opponent, but let's the UFC bring an offer to the table. This includes Hendo.

Several white belt morons and Bisping haters try to compare the Count's historic career that has spanned 10 years in the top ten, in a tough Post Franklin stacked MW division with Matt Serra. Serra had 1 great victory at age 33 and then promptly retired 3 years later with no meaningful victories.

Shame on the arm chair critics let's see them invest their promotional dollars on Whittaker Romero 2 for the interim belt.
 
Has anyone ever done a comparison to when UFC was running shows bimonthly-ish and comparing the annual PPV numbers to the current structure. Sometimes less is more.

That being said, we also have to knowledge how much of an impact illegal streaming has in this day and age.

It was 320k. Point stands that Bisping is a respectable draw with stock that is building. Romero, Jacare, and Whittaker are unreliable and 130 is all the proof you need.
 
tbh if you made the ufc a complete meritocracy

after an adjustment period i really believe the better fighters would become draws (excluding flw)

wed just have to ween people off the conor superfight era

Not sure about the aggregate of shows matching the amount of buys from older shows of years past - but its a good question.

As for illegal streaming, I don't think it has a massive affect on their profits or PPV numbers in this case. If someone is a PPV buyer, that will not suddenly change - you already have that mindset. People who stream, would always choose that option.

And it is almost the only option for those of us in Europe - paying to watch something every month at 5am gets old fast.

Its critical to the UFC that whittaker fights bisping, if he wins it will elevate him greatly. Also rob doesnt get any promotional push in australia, or anywhere.

Dude ppv buys have nothing to do with Bisping being the weakest champ ever.

So because the entire UK watches Bisping when he fights he should fight 1 times against Dan Henderson in over a year?

You forgot it was marketed as Nunes vs Shevchenko 2 for long time, and they were announced as main event like 12 hours before fight?
 
They didn't even promote the card and they lost the top billing on a already weak card.

What was the expectations here ? I think if they got 200k buys that would have been over performing in those circumstances.

You think that changes anything? Being beaten by a wmma card is embarrassing in and of itself. Name one card where Bisping was cucked by WMMA.

It was for an Interm belt & the original main event fell through last minute. What did you expect?
