How is the UFC worth more than the Cowboys, Yankees, Patriots, Manchester United, and FC Barcelona?

UFC ratings and PPV buys have been horrible in 2017. Did UFC 215 even sell 80K PPVs?

Thoughts?

Just because WME paid over 4 billion for the UFC, doesn't mean it's worth that much.

If any of those teams listed above were to be sold, it would be for far more than what that chart shows.

A few months ago, Forbes had their annual list of NBA teams value, the Rockets were listed at 1.65 billion, yet recently they sold for 2.2 billion.

Just a thought: expenses vs profit; I'm guessing the players from those teams, on average, need to get paid more than UFC fighters, who aren't unionized. While Conor may get paid handsomely, many UFC fighters are not. And it's very debatable whether Conor was even getting paid what he was worth up until MayMac.

The expense of paying athletes more could mean less profit for the owner of those teams.

The true value of anything is what someone is willing to pay for it.

Sports pay the atletes around 50% of revenue. Ufc pays like 10%

Value is subjective. If you look at the numbers, the UFC doesn't come close.

WME/IMG got finessed by the Fertitas. LOL

NFL/MLB/Soccer Teams actually pay their athletes what they are worth.

The UFC pays fighters peanuts...even Conor was getting ripped off....The UFC makes way more profit, thats why they are worth more.

You're not taking in bigger picture.

You can't compare individual sports franchises to the UFC.

The Cowboys and Patriots are 2 of 32 teams in the NFL.

The Yankees are 1 team in MLB.

You have to compare the UFC to the MLB, NFL and the other sports leagues.

Remember, professional sports owners profit share. They are in this together and really not competitors. Teams that don't make playoffs still profit off playoffs.

Now you can compare Conor McGregor, the UFC's biggest assest, to the Patriots, Yankees, Lakers, Manchester United, etc. That's the fair comparison.

Who ever made that deal at WME is a retard...
