What u guys say?

From great wrestlers like GSP, Kos, Hughes, Hendricks, Fitch etc

to

Perry, Ponzi, RDA, Lawler, Woodley etc

Big change. Even the wrestlers are hitting hard, like Usman in his last fight.

The real question is....how would a 170 pound version of Shogun do in the WW division?

Right OP?

:D

It improved dramatically, more than any other division.
It used to be a shallow "wrestler-(bad)boxer" division of identical fighters.

Pretty simple reasons this is the case; UFC is missing a lot of top 10-20 WWs and purposely avoided signing one of the best wrestlers ever at the weight in Askren. UFC favors striking so not many have faith in building up grappling as the center of their gameplans anymore this is something seen in all divisions.

There are some exceptions in WME era (Larkin, Rory and Tumenov) but before that it was the case
They did the same with LHW at some point
