Why would he return? I believe he's contractually obligated to fight one maybe two more times? He's about to make more money in one fight than he's ever made in the UFC. And if he wins or if he's at least competitive, he could fight Mayweather again or someone else and literally be set for life. And if he sticks with boxing, it's less wear and tear on his body (debatedly), he only fights 2 maybe 3 times a year, makes more money and gets to spend more time with his son. Honestly, what do you guys think he will do after this? The UFC is pretty much a shit show currently thanks to Jon Jones.

You only just worked this out bro?

Nah, not really. Just wanted some input from you guys.

Then again this is all speculation. No numbers have been released. You don't think someone that rents cars and houses then posts pics of them on Instagram would lie about how much he is worth?

Plus, that is like saying why would Lebron need the NBA any more? I mean he's made a ton of money already. It turns out people like money and will continue to pursue it even when someone else thinks $x is sufficient to last a lifetime.

He will return to ufc and continue to collect paychecks
Might even get his hand on some shares
Then probably retire in a few years

Cool. Great. Give up the belt and let's move on with our lives. Simple enough, right?

He still got some big money fights ahead in ufc where he can make a cool 20 mill ea
Plus the exposure he gets from this event will carry over to his next bouts in the ufc

Yeah he said he's a boxer now.
No need for those belts.

The only problem will be , he will not win in boxing.

Conor could easily have his own promotion like Mayweather. Fight some legit dude for the main event, put some SBG guys on the card, maybe some legit guys from Rizin or what not, doesnt matter, people are buying for him anyway. Take a big piece of the pie, also could have how many sponsors as he likes.

Wouldnt be surprised if he takes this route after he finishes his contract with the UFC.

He is still under contract to the UFC, and he is fighting because they have allowed him too. He cannot simply fight more boxing matches or even Mayweather a second time without the UFC saying OK. He can retire sure, but UFC still has a say.

Man people on here are so dumb, it's 2017 how do you guys not know about the UFC's championship clause in every contract, as long as Conor is a champion he can never fight for another promotion without UFC's consent.

The UFC literally owns Conor while he has that belt.

His ego and need for attention will keep him in the UFC for a long time coming.

He's going to co promote his next fight in the UFC.

Conor doesn't need anything but a sound financial planner, he is set.

I do think he comes back to MMA if he loses.

If Conor wins, all bets are off as to what he does. May has a rematch clause so Conor would be able to command a split next time round and be pulling in close to a 1/4 billion. Dana may have a clause that Conor needs to fight again before a rematch but at that point Conor would have all the chips....Conor could simply give up his back (again!) and preserve himself for the rematch or use the threat of that to get out of his contract.

Yea but Conor doesn't seem like type care about vacating a belt to walk greener pastures, so to speak.

your not allowed, look at GSP, walked away from the sport, they had a new WW champion, and he still couldn't get out of an outdated contract.
