Wouldn't that be fun? When WWE bought ECW, the plan was to hold one ECW branded PPV a year and showcase "hardcore" matches in smaller arenas with ECW talent.

Why can't UFC do the same with PRIDE? Obviously their priority is to promote the UFC brand over PRIDE but money is money and it's all the same in the end.

You could have PRIDE ring, rounds, rules, soccer kicks, etc. One night only, once a year. It would give you something to look forward to every year and it would be interesting to see how some of the UFC guys would fare in the ring with PRIDE rules.

What say you? Would you buy or at least illegally stream a UFC Presents "PRIDE Fighting Championship"?

Sure.

Yes TS, you are right.
The UFC needs something new(old) to get back on track

I thought you meant LGBQT Pride. They could have Carmouche, Nunes, Ansarroff, Nick Ring, Dakota Cochrane come out to represent.

Only if the main event is Fedor vs Bob Sapp. That's the one fight us fan got robbed of. Make it happen Dana

Based on the title, I thought this post was gonna be about the kind of pride that Conor and Artem are a part of.

Every time McGuzzler fights its a "pride" event for his huggers.

How did it work out for WWE? How many years did that last?

It would make the game ten times more interesting. The Tournaments should be back, with an automatic UFC title shot for the winner of the Pride GP. UFC had enough divisions to make one GP per year. A UFC champ losing during the GP doesn't destitute him of his UFC belt.

Let them roid up, soccer kicks, ring, and pay the fighters in straight cash

Open weight GP in Japan once a year. Let's get it done Dana!

Instead of UFC going to Japan just brand it Pride since they own it. Problem is everyone outside of Japan sucks at production and couldn't match the brilliant Japanese with promos, graphics..etc. It would be a cheap knock off of Pride. Pride had better production in 2005 then the 4 billion dollar UFC does today.
