Ever since Jones and DC have held the belt, LHW has gone down hill. Their whole rivalry was fun but ultimately it means nothing, as they should both clearly be fighting at Heavyweight.
All of their opposition, aside from maybe gus who is another one, have had distinct physical disadvantages that make their fights ultimate boring.
They both could and have wrestle fucked and man handled the entire division at will. They should be having wars against the other top heavyweights like Stipe and Reem for the official title off baddest man on the planet. Not glorify themselves beating smaller guys. That is also why ultimately Fedor will go down as the GOAT, he smashed the biggest and baddest bastards alive for years.
TLDR: Make Heavyweight great again stop hiding in LHW.

Rumble, Bader, Glover, and OSP are all a similar size (all are taller than DC and heavier than Jones), it's the true evolution of MMA ;) that guys like Shogun and Wand are now small at LHW.

They are just about the same size as other top LHW´s, Jones might be taller or have more reach, but he isnt exactly bigger, as he is skinny and doesnt seem to cut big to make 205, most of them could hang around HW´s, but once the rival goes above 240lbs it will show, they dont cut from that high, and thats average for a HW, there are bigger guys there.

Jones makes LHW no problem> Cormier not so much, but tested the waters at HW, kicked ass, and moved down because he was very small for that weight. Pride had what, two divisions? Nothing "clear" about these guys needing to fight at HW in modern organizations.

i think it boils down to what division the fighter feels they have their advantage in

The DC-Bones rivalry means nothing because they are both big LHWs. Let's just think about that for a second...
