Why is BJ Penn the only fighter to get the benefit of the doubt when he loses?

Yet when another fighter loses he or she is automatically declared the worst fighter ever, everyone jumps off the bandwagon, KO/SUB GIFs get posted for weeks, face gets shooped into oblivion etc.

There's been nothing but claims for Penn to retire for years.

He is not the only one , I believe Shogun can beat anyone on a good night and all of his loses are flukes

Miesha Great can beat Cyborg and Shevchenko, she could also beat Nunes without a bad weight cut and was clearly unmotivated against Pennington. :)

WAR5 Rowdy Recluse Rockstar Ronda Rousey has her number though lol.

As for Blowjob Penn he gets a pass because he is an undersized Asian hero and the definition of a P4P fighter, fighting guys TREE times his size without complaint.

Romero was the beneficiary of a very controversial stoppage against Weidman.

Rockhold too.

Anderson Silva is the greatest beneficiary of this. In the history of MMA.

LW GOAT

Sorry haters.

The young-ins around here who just started following MMA won't know what I'm talking about

He's not. Randy would get title shots coming off a loss.

Another example of a nonsense thread where the author makes up an argument that does not widely exist.

e.g.: "I'm sick and tired of people saying Mighty Mouse can beat GSP."

... said no one ever.

Definitely dude that's why he's ranked number 4 the division... In 2017....

He doesn't as often as he does.
