Former UFC knock out artist Melvin Guilard is now 1-7 in his last 8 fights. His latest loss came by way of a slow methodical TKO.

that was a pretty horrible stoppage. luckily melvin didnt look too badly hurt. that could have been a lot worse. but still, melvin gave up a solid 15 seconds before it got stopped lol

The stoppage was very late. This wouldn't count for intelligently defending himself even if Melvin was paralyzed, lol.

Looks like Melvin is fighting a middleweight.
He actually was.

Also, he got T/KOed by Muslim directly followed by Israel, next is someone named Jesus or Christian.

The stylebender ain't no joke.. future middleweight champ

Late stoppage and lmao @ losing to Muslim then Israel then Jesus or Christian.

It was not that bad. Could of ended maybe 3 seconds earlier.

Hard to beat this bad of a stoppage

Look at the clock. @1:27 seconds Mir is unconscious and laying flat on his stomach and the fight is not stopped until 1:13 seconds.

Another up and coming prospect slides into the shadows. Sad to see , he was an entertaining fighter. Now taking fights at random weights to make a dollar.

Melvin needs to stop partying and playing this fight game.

McDonald's may even hire him.

Fuck that fight could have been stopped way earlier. Not that the call was the least bit bad, but there was no point in that video Melvin looked like he could come back

I always figured Melvin would win the title if he ever got the chance. Too bad he's past his prime now.

dude remember when Melvin KO'd Mac Danzig?

and Mac was just gurgling in agony?

Poor Guillard. Had the skills to be a contender. Now he should retire.

Getting busted for Coke before it was cool...

Sort of the opposite.

He had the athleticism to be elite, never the skills.

Thats why you could see him getting tapped out repeatedly, throughout his prime, e.g., Stevenson, Diaz, Miller, Lauzon all submitted him. He never had a refined game or skill set, but he was far more athletic then the curve in the UFC back then.

Now that he's in his 30's, has some mileage, and no longer a big athletic edge, he has nothing to offer and he's losing to guys you never heard of it.

Freak athletic, very gifted, unfortunate he never skilled up to the level required to be on top.
