Even if you want to keep it in the realm of sports, Karl Malone is at the absolute worst, the 5th best player ever at his position, and was at a high level of performance for a veryyyyyyy long time.
I was going to say a closer comparison might be Dan Henderson, but honestly Malone was even more successful at advanced ages than Henderson was.
